Oxfordshire Area Ramblers

Our Walks Programme

Oxfordshire Ramblers aim to maintain a varied walks programme, both in distance and pace, to meet the needs of its approximately 2000 members. The walks range in distance from 3-miles, with no hills or stiles, to longer-distance walks covering distances of, typically, up to 16 miles.  The walks also vary in pace, with walks graded ‘Easy’, ‘Leisurely’, ‘Moderate’ or ‘Strenuous’.  We aim to have a programme that has something for everyone.

Oxfordshire Area has eight groups which cover different regions of the County; Bicester & Kidlington, Banbury & North Oxfordshire, Didcot & Wallingford, Henley & Goring, Oxford, Thame & Wheatley, Vale of White Horse, and West Oxfordshire.  We have two further groups, Hike Oxfordshire and Oxon Weekend Walkers, both of whom cover all of Oxfordshire for their demographics. Members are encouraged to walk with all of the Oxfordshire groups, not just the walks provided by their own group.

A listing of the walks can be found following the ‘Walks Programme’ link under the ‘Walking’ item on the ‘home’ page. Clicking on any particular walk gives further detailed information.

If you want a printable version of the following month's walks this can be found following the 'Monthly Reports' link under the ‘Walking’ item on the ‘home’ page.
