Leave Market Place to the south east on Newbury Street. After a short distance turn left into Post Office Lane.
At the Eagle Almshouses turn right into Eagle Close. Eagle Almshouses.
At the Junction with the A338, Ormond Road, turn left. Cross the road and continue to Inckneild Lane. Turn right. Follow this until the junction with Springfield Road. Turn right and after a short distance turn left. Follow until junction with Lark Hill and turn left. Follow until bridleway on right. Follow bridleway until junction with Wantage to Lockinge Road. Straight on towards Lockinge before turning left onto bridleway. Follow to junction with Lockinge Road.
Cross Lockinge Road and straight on School Road to High Street. School of Crafts. Millenium Stones.
Follow High Street, past jucntion with Church Street, straight on at next junction, after bend to right take footpath to left. Estate village of Ardington. Pub, shop and tea room. Church, Ardington House and estate buildings.
Follow footpath generally straight on via stiles and gates to The Greenaway. Turn left and follow to A417. Bus Stop at Hare.  Buses
Cross A417 and take footpath along farm track to left of pub. After 400m turn right with field edge to right. After 250 m bridleway crosses to other side of hedge. At end of hedge cross field diagonally north east, then straight on to Woods farm. Straight on onto footpath, generally straight on along side of wood to Hill Farm.
Follow Church lane to junction with Mill Street. 14th century church of St Michael and All Angels. Remains of cross in churchyard. Hill Farm is the site of the annual Truck Festival(music).
Continue on Church lane or the causeway to the right to the level crossing. Follow Church Lane to the junction with Stocks Lane. Past theNorth Star pub the straight onto The Causeway, or the causeway, to the junction with the B4017. Medieval stone causeway to Steventon(Milton) built by monks. Old houses. National Trust property at junction of The Causeway and Mill Street. The North Star is a listed building with railway connections.
