Stuart Hillyard and I removed a small tree and a bramble bush that had completely blocked the footpath known as Rayford Lane definitive footpath 365/27 (Bartongate, near Chipping Norton).
Stuart is one of a number of volunteers that assist in keeping our footpaths/Towpaths free of obstructing vegetation within the local proximity.
The group is called Blitz and Clean are always looking for people with a few hours to spare and join us on a pleasurable mornings work (not in the rain).
ALL tools are supplied and transport to different venues is on a shared basis where possible.
And lastly you DO NOT have to be a member of any Ramblers organisation to assist with footpath clearing.
