he VPV has had a busy time this Winter with sessions in Dorchester-on-Thames, Baulking, Childrey, Hinton Waldrist, Kingston Bagpuize and Abingdon. The work the team can undertake has been enhanced by the purchase in November of a long-pole petrol-engined hedge cutter, funded with a grant from Oxfordshire Area Ramblers. The hedge cutter can slice through vegetation growing at the side of footpaths up to a height of nearly 3 metres, particularly useful when clearing bridlepaths.
